1. Select a fan with high efficiency, small size, and a wide adjustment range to meet the system's acceptable performance, efficiency, and quality requirements.

2. The fan's operating point should be selected near its high-efficiency point to ensure stable operation and avoid operation in the surge zone.

3. To reduce noise, the fan speed must be reduced, and a larger fan should be selected.

4. Selecting a large fan often results in the fan operating in a low-airflow range, with a large pressure difference between the fan inlet and outlet, causing operational instability and noise pulsation, leading to higher noise levels.

5. Selecting a small fan will result in a higher fan speed, with air exiting the blades at higher velocities, also generating higher noise levels.

6. The average air velocity at the fan outlet is typically 10-15 m/s, and should ideally not exceed 17 m/s.

7. For fan speeds ≤ 450 rpm, select an 8-pole motor; for 451～799 rpm, select a 6-pole motor; for 800～1500 rpm, select a 4-pole motor; and for speeds above 1500 rpm, select a 2-pole motor.
