The hot water suddenly turned cold during operation? It stopped running! This is most likely due to excessive dust buildup in the boiler's centrifugal blower fan. This causes insufficient oxygen intake during the temperature stabilization process, leading to a slowdown in the flame. After a winter of use, components like the centrifugal blower fan and expansion tank inside the gas boiler may experience "excessive fatigue." Today, we'll discuss how to maintain and care for the centrifugal blower fan.
During operation, the boiler fan, centrifugal fans, and blowers are used to expel exhaust gases from the boiler's combustion and draw in fresh air from the outside to aid combustion. Dust in the air adheres to the inner and outer casing of the fan and the surface of the blades. Accumulated dust not only affects heat dissipation and increases the load on the centrifugal fans and blowers, but it can also cause impeller imbalance, accelerate bearing wear, and eventually lead to increasingly loud noise. Furthermore, dust in the centrifugal fans and blowers can clog the pressure testing holes of the venturi tube, affecting the differential pressure measured by the pressure switch, causing a blower fan malfunction and preventing it from working properly.
The functions of centrifugal blowers:
Force airflow
Draw outside air into the combustion chamber
Expel combustion exhaust gases
Ensure a stable fuel-air mixture
Centrifugal blower maintenance: Use a brush to clean dust from the inside and outside surfaces of the blower fan housing and bearings. Never use lubricant to lubricate the centrifugal blower bearings, as this will cause damage.
Note: If the boiler does not extinguish after disassembling the combustion chamber blower housing and turning on the hot water, it indicates a problem with the blower centrifugal itself, as oxygen supply is sufficient after disassembly. If the flame extinguishes, it indicates a problem with components such as the temperature probe.
There are various problems with boiler blower centrifugal systems; it is recommended to contact a professional repairman for assistance. Regular maintenance of the heating system can reduce gas consumption, improve heat exchange efficiency, decrease failure rates, enhance safety, and extend the lifespan of the wall-hung boiler.
Please note that the above operations must be performed by professional technicians!
